Supporting WPRF, an Opportunity to Raise Tempo of National Service — NPC Chair


The Chairman of National Population Commission (NPC), Dr. Aminu Yusuf says the upcoming World Public Relations Forum (WPRF) stands as an opportunity for Nigeria to showcase its rich hospitality, democratic progress and huge economic potentials to the world, stating that the Commission will support the global event as part of its commitment to deepen its service to the country. 

Dr. Yusuf who stated this in Abuja on Thursday while receiving in audience a top delegation of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), lauded the Institute for its role in driving value that impacts the nation's reputation. 

While highlighting that responsible communication plays a critical role in the Commission's work, particularly in the area of census operations, Civil Registration and Vital Statistics, demographic surveys and policy advocacy, he reiterated the willingness of NPC to ensure adequate representation and support the November event. 

"I wish to assure you and the entire NIPR leadership, that the NPC will partner with you and fully support the World Public Relations Forum. We see this as a national assignment, and we will play our part to ensure its success", he stated. 

Earlier in his remarks, the President of NIPR, Dr. Ike Neliaku, said NPC's mandate is at the heart of effective planning and national development, stressing that WPRF offers huge value that will improve service in the Commission. 

He urged other corporate entities to maximise the value WPRF offers to network with potential investors, achieve premium visibility and raise the bar of effective service in their respective organisations.
