I'll Always be Part of NIPR Family — Emir of Birnin Gwari
A foremost traditional ruler and the Emir of Birnin Gwari in Kaduna State, Alhaji Zubairu Jibril Maigwari II says he will always identify with the sole professional body of public relations in the country, the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR).
The Emir gave this assurance on Wednesday in Kaduna when he received in audience, the Institute's delegation led by the President, Chairman of Council, Dr. Ike Neliaku.
A Fellow and former Member of NIPR Governing Council, the revered Royal Father lauded the Institute for upholding its constitutional role of shaping the nation's reputation within and before the international community.
"I still want to be with the NIPR, it's our family, I am ready and available", he stressed shortly after receiving his recertification.
Earlier, Dr. Neliaku applauded the Emir and his contemporaries for their sacrifices in ensuring that NIPR remained strong in playing its advisory role in shaping government policies and actions.
The President was accompanied by the Immediate Past President, Malam Mukhtar Sirajo; the Olumobi of Imobi-Ijesa, Sir Dr. Jacob Adetayo Haastrup; the Pioneer Registrar of the Institute, Dr. Adekunle Salu, a nonagenarian who flew in from Lagos to be part of the ongoing NPRW; Former Director of Defence Information, Maj. Gen. Chris Olukolade (Rtd); Chairman of NIPR Kaduna State Chapter, Malam Haroun Malami and Senior Council Member of Birnin Gwari Emirate, Zubair Idris.
