WPRF: FRCN Signs on as Official Host Radio Broadcaster
The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has sealed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), making the government-owned media organisation the official host broadcaster for World Public Relations Forum (WPRF) scheduled to hold from 15th - 21st November, 2026 in Abuja, Nigeria.
During the signing ceremony at Radio House in Abuja on Friday, the Director General of FRCN, Dr. Mohammed Bulama said the corporation is committed to building on the existing robust partnership with NIPR to support and add value that will ensure the success of WPRF.
Describing the WPRF project as a great opportunity for Nigeria to showcase its true identity before delegates from across 126 countries of the world, Dr. Bulama said building the country's reputation is part of its core mandate as a foremost public broadcaster, assuring that the Corporation will put necessary measures in place to ensure that its impact is felt before, during, and after the global gathering.
"We want to assure you that we will deploy all the resources available to us to make sure that the event is a resounding success. Hosting over 120 countries is not a small feat. Abuja will become the centre of global attention. We are ready to contribute our own quota to ensure that Nigeria leaves a lasting footprint in the minds of our guests," he stated.
Earlier in his remarks, the Chairman of National Planning Committee (NPC) of WPRF, Dr. Suleiman Haruna speaking on behalf of NIPR said the FRCN's wide reach across the country will be of significant value in driving awareness about the reputational value that the one-week programme offers Nigeria.
He stressed that the contents of the event have been carefully designed to offer maximum value to every demography, urging those who have not registered to take advantage of the available window to join the 3,000 high-profile personalities taking part in the event.
